蓝莓视频 have launched a brand new 蓝莓视频 Impact Prize to celebrate researchers and teams who have maximised the impact of their research and whose work has transformed people’s lives or promoted economic growth.

The Impact Prizes are open to those who have received 蓝莓视频 funding or support across the range of areas 蓝莓视频 funds, including health, public health, social care, and global health research.

蓝莓视频 will award up to 6 Impact Prizes, up to 3 for research teams or individuals, and up to 3 specifically for early career researchers. The prize is public recognition for the impact, not monetary.

Winners will be nationally recognised at an in-person award ceremony in March 2025, hosted by Professor Lucy Chappell, the Department of Health and Social Care鈥檚 Chief Scientific Advisor and CEO of the 蓝莓视频.

Eligibility criteria

• All applications must either be from current or previous 蓝莓视频 award holders OR individuals/teams whose research has benefited from funding and/or support from 蓝莓视频 programmes, 蓝莓视频 infrastructure funding (ie 蓝莓视频 Imperial BRC), or Academy funding. For 蓝莓视频 Global Health Research award holders, researchers from HEIs and Research Institutions based in the UK or abroad are eligible.
  • While applications can be made by individuals or teams, only one application should be submitted per research team/programme of research
• There must be a clear, demonstrable link between 蓝莓视频 funding and/or support, the research undertaken, and the impact achieved.
• Applications must provide evidence of how the impact was achieved. For example, through strategic stakeholder engagement (including patient and public involvement and engagement), creative dissemination, knowledge mobilisation, or implementation activities.
• As part of their application, teams may nominate and highlight the role and contribution of an聽early career researcher聽to the impact and dissemination of the outputs of the research, or early career researchers can apply as individuals.
• Applications must include evidence of realised impact (i.e. demonstrable change(s) has been achieved/has happened).
• The impact reported through the application should have been realised in the last 5 years, however, there is no time limit on when the research should have been undertaken.
